2016 SEWI-ATD Board of Directors Election

SEWI-ATD bylaws state that the board will consist of 10 individuals elected from among chapter members in good standing. This election is for the for the 2016-18 Board term that begins Jan. 1, 2016.

There are six open positions, four that have nominees and two in which we are still seeking nominees. Information about the four nominees are listed below. The two remaining open positions are:

  • Vice President of Special Events
  • Vice President of Community Relations. 

If you are interested in filling either of these positions please enter your name in the proper area on the ballot.

Voting will open Wednesday, Sept. 30th and end Oct. 12th. All SEWI-ATD members in good standing as of Sept. 30, 2015, are eligible to vote. Renew or join here to ensure your vote.

Nominees

Rebecca Doepke: President-Elect


  
Rebecca has spent the past 25 years in training and development. Clients consider her the authority on front-line employee development, leading and developing teams, and creating the ideal environment to foster a culture of sales and service. With most of her experience taking place in the financial industry, Rebecca works closely with clients on a variety of learning design and development projects from customer experience delivery and sales coaching to employee onboarding.

Rebecca’s virtual design and delivery experience includes sales and service programs, business accounts procedures training, and online banking technology training sessions.

Rebecca previously served as the VP of Community Relations.
 

Andrew C. Marris: VP of Communications     


      
With more than 15 years of business management and leadership experience in the sports broadcasting, financial services, health care, information technology, and human resources industries, Andy draws on his knowledge and experiences to help managers sharpen their leadership skills and business acumen. As a former graduate- and undergraduate-level business and marketing instructor, Andy discovered he has a passion for facilitating adult learning through fun, interactive, “real world” education. 
      
Andy's love of leadership development led him to his current role as a full-time talent development instructor in MRA—The Management Association's Institute of Management. Whether he is working with first-time supervisors, or seasoned leaders seeking continuous skill-set improvement, Andy makes the learning experience one that is measurable, memorable, and motivational.
         
Andy has a masters in business administration and a bachelors in organizational communication.  He has planned and promoted numerous live and online marketing events, including boosting attendance through hundreds of thousands of targeted emails. Because of this experience, Andy he previously served as the SEWI-ATD eBlast chair.
 
Meica Hatters: VP of Membership   
       

Meica is a college instructor and instructional designer with experience facilitating instruction in face-to-face and online college classrooms. She has also lead and developed trainings for corporate environments. Additionally, Meica has expertise in the development and design of project-based instruction, employee relations, and one-on-one coaching.
   

Meica previously served as the SEWI-ATD Membership Co-Chair.

Laura Bunte: VP of Technology

 


 
    

Laura Bunte is the Lead Learning Consultant for Stratagem, Inc. an IT and Training Staffing and Consulting Company with offices in Mequon and Madison. In this role, Laura is responsible for Stratagem’s Learning Services division.

Laura has more than 20 years of consulting and management experience as a practitioner, manager, and learning leader with many Fortune 500 national and global companies. She is familiar with training content from a variety of industries, including professional consulting, learning services, telecommunications, electronics, medical, medical devices, pharmaceutical, and utilities.

Laura earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and MS. Ed. In Instructional Technology from Northern Illinois University, with a major in Instructional Design.
